What is swype dragon

My App Store search for Swype returned an ad for Grammarly as the top result, for example. And while the startup is taking revenue via a set of pricing plans for a more fully featured version of its service, its privacy policy also says its using typing data to improve its underlying algorithms and language models. So it remains to be seen what its data-mining keyboard business might evolve into or exit to in time. In a statement emailed to The Verge , Nuance said it would discontinue support of the Swype keyboard app and instead focus on other products.

Swype is no longer available on the iOS App Store or Google Play, though customers can still use the app as normal and will continue to have access to tech support for the next few months. The company announced the end of Swype for iOS at the beginning of the month, though the news appeared to go unnoticed — which probably speaks to why it was discontinued. Though Swype was hugely influential, its success also led to its obsolescence with the feature being built into new Android phones.

Swype was never a core business for Nuance, which is best known for its voice dictation software and services it supposedly powered the early versions of Siri. But at this point, it seems that Nuance has found it more beneficial to dedicate engineers full time to dictation AI.

I don't remember if it was because it was not in the Spanish App Store, or if it was because of something else, but I ended up using SwiftKey still available instead of Swype. One of the most striking advantages of Swype was its support for Dragon Dictation.

Without a doubt one of the best dictation solutions on the market, also developed by Nuance. However everything changed when Gboard arrived.

The Google keyboard stomped in and many of us abandoned the keyboard we used, to such an extent that, to this day, it is my only keyboard. Apparently, the ease with which Gboard has attracted users, has caused Nuance to rethink its business.
